Central Chapter Hike: Schramm Woods Nature Preserve April 19

Date & Time: Saturday, April 19 (2PM to 4PM)

Location: Schramm Woods Nature Preserve, CR 600 W and CR 200 S, Hancock County, Indiana

Sponsoring Organization: Central Chapter INPAWS

Title: Schramm Woods Wildflower Hike

INPAWS Central Chapter will be hosting a hike at Schramm Woods Nature Preserve. We will look for wildflowers during the hike and discuss the differences between similar species. Some botanical terms may be used (kept to a minimum).

Leader: Marc Woernle

Notes: Non-Members Welcome. There are No Fees associated with this event. The forest is very wet this time of year and boots are highly recommended as soft soils and deeper puddles are likely to be encountered. This event will take place rain or shine.

Directions: From Indianapolis follow I-70 East to Mt. Comfort Rd./CR 600 W (Exit 96). Travel south approximately 4.3 miles on CR 600 W. Turn left (east) and travel 0.4 mile on CR 200 S, and then turn right (south) into Doe Creek Middle School. Due to limited parking, we will shuttle folks to the preserve, which is located approximately 0.8 mile north of the school (see attached map of previous email).
